The glimtrex® Degrayer has been specifically developed for the regeneration of weathered and grayed wood outdoors. Whether deck boards, garden furniture, wooden facades, or fences - with this product you can effectively remove graying from virtually all outdoor wood surfaces.
Unlike conventional cleaners, the glimtrex® Degrayer penetrates deep into the wood fibers and dissolves the graying there without damaging the wood structure. The result is a clean, fresh wood surface that shines again in its natural color tone.
Simple Application in Just a Few Steps
Applying the glimtrex® Degrayer is straightforward and effective:
Preparation: Ensure the surface is frost-free and clean
Ideal Conditions: Wood moisture below 18% and air humidity below 60%
Pre-wetting: Moisten the wood before application
Application: Apply pure or diluted with water (max. 1:5) depending on degree of soiling
Brushing In: Work in with a brush in the direction of the grain
Contact Time: After about 15 minutes, remove the graying with water and brush
Post-treatment: Rinse thoroughly with clean water
Drying: After approximately 24 hours, the surface can be reworked
Important Tip: For long-term protection, we recommend treating the cleaned surface subsequently with glimtrex® Exterior Oil.
Coverage and Economy
The glimtrex® Degrayer convinces with its high coverage. One liter is sufficient for 10 to 50 m², depending on the degree of soiling (50 to 100 ml/m²). The product is available in practical 1.0 and 2.5-liter containers.
Storage and Shelf Life
The glimtrex® Degrayer has a storage life of 3 years in the unopened original container. Ensure cool but frost-free storage. Opened containers should be transferred to smaller, suitable containers, sealed airtight, and used promptly.

For optimal results, we recommend combining the glimtrex® Degrayer with our glimtrex® Exterior Oil. While the degrayer eliminates graying and makes the wood shine again in its natural color tone, the exterior oil provides long-lasting protection against renewed graying and weather influences.
