The glimtrex® Grayer is specifically designed for wood surfaces in outdoor areas. Whether deck boards, garden furniture, wooden facades, or fences - the product is suitable for virtually all exterior woods that you want to enhance with an attractive, silver-gray color tone.
Unlike the natural graying process, which can take several years
depending on wood type and weather conditions, the glimtrex® Grayer achieves a uniform silver-gray effect in the shortest time. At the same time, you benefit from excellent protection against moisture and UV radiation.
Simple Application for Optimal Results
Applying the glimtrex® Grayer is remarkably simple:
Preparation: Stir product well and ensure the wood surface is clean, dry, and frost-free Ideal Conditions: Wood moisture below 18% and air humidity below 60% Application: Two to three coats with brush or flat brush Drying:
After approximately 12 hours, the surface can be reworked Curing: Full resistance is achieved after approximately 10 days
Tip for Enhanced Protection: For particularly stressed surfaces,
we recommend a final treatment with glimtrex® Exterior Oil transparent.
Coverage and Economy
With one liter of glimtrex® Grayer, you can treat approximately 15 m² (60-70 ml/m² per coat). However, consumption may increase 2-3 times for grooved woods. The product is available in practical 0.75 and 2.5-liter containers.
Storage and Shelf Life
The glimtrex® Grayer can be stored without problems for 3 years in the unopened original container. Ensure cool but frost-free storage. Opened containers should be transferred to smaller, suitable containers, sealed airtight, and used promptly.
